A new forum now exists called Promote A Template, exclusively for people who want to promote and update their bot templates.

The most common ones, you know which they are, will be pinned at the top of the forum so that new bot developers will have easy access to them.

Copies of existing templates that are simply renamed, have only one or two modifications or have been claimed by someone other that the real developer will be deleted.

What about templates that are updated often? Is the old one unpinned and the newest one pinned?

Why dont re-order everything while you are at it. Right now its.. One big messy.. Pile of forums :/

I'll Try release my new template tonight, Cant wait Very Happy Good choice though.....Mojave, When you 'wern't around' we were all taking about a images forum , for things like custom emoticons, and other stuff.....Everyone seemed to agree, What do you think?

I thought an admin, would have access to the "admin" cp.

people are just ripping bots then promoting it anywhere and now we have somewhere to get the reliable, not ripped bots Very Happy great idea

thats a bit naive, creating a new forum wont keep people from ripping templates and promoting them.

A new forum and pinned topics help those who are just starting out to easily find a list of templates to choose from and try out. For now, we'll pretty much auto-pinany templates that have been out in these forums for a while. New templates won't be pinned until enough people have commented positively on them and verified that they aren't merely ripoffs of others' templates. So we're pretty much doing a peer review process to help weed out the crap and put the good stuff at the top where it is easily found.

So CKS Juggernaut wouldn't get by as a "template" since it's already a full bot pretty much... but when I create Juggernaut Lite that'll be more of a template than a full bot. Laughing

There's definitely some overlap in the concept of templates and bots. The idea of this forum is to give people who are new easy access to all the templates.

And to make bot-depot even bigger and messier if I may say so. But thats just my opinion.
