Hi

I have gotten a host for HoyBot!(see sig)
I have him all set up on the host's computer, ready to go!
But
He can connect fine on her 56k modem.
But wen i try to connect him when she's using her ethernet port, connected to a cable modem, he can't find a connection Surprised .

Please help?!

Friends connections: 56k, ethernet port, connected to cable modem
Friends connections THAT WORK: 56k
So you see, HoyBot only works on 56k

I want him to run on An ethernet port, connected to cable modem

Help please! Sad

Do you have a firewall installed? And what error dó you receive (Auth Failed?)

Your bot cares not how the internet is setup. The only thing that will confuse it is if you don't have TCP/IP setup correctly. I would check the DNS and Gateway settings for her cable modem and make sure they are correct. The bot uses TCP/IP and never even knows if it is on DSL,Cable, Dialip, ISDN, Satellite, etc.
