Seems like its gone a bit dead from when i was last around here.

Lol, was quite good back then... o well; ive grown up aswell as everyone else.

Not much, Im quietly working on my bot, but it's not getting very far as I keep finding other little projects to do. There are a few other people around Teario was around and was looking at doing some work on the msn.pm Cer has been around as well updating rivescript.

Yeah, well at the moment im working on getting MSN.pm updated to MSNP15

but I thats mainly because I want to release morphious bot again.

Still got the domain Morphious.co.uk.

Infact ive already updated most of it.. at the moment im updating the Challenge part.

Really hard to get back into Perl though, not coded it in 4 year?

Also hard to fit programming around my day job..

Hey Stephen, welcome back. I'm trying to get back into bots too. With all the competition like Bot2k3 out of the picture now is a good time to get back in, but like you it's hard to find time to work on bots anymore with having a job too.

I'm working as a Perl developer at the same company as mattaustin. Smile

Matt's still slowly working on the Yahoo module but development on that's pretty slow too cuz he doesn't have as much free time either. Seems all the botters have grown up and gotten lives, which is probably why the bot scene dried up with it.

This year I started working on my RiveScript module again, came up with a new theoretical standard for a new version of it and am reprogramming it from scratch, to be as compatible as possible to the old version, while being several times more flexible and extensible as ever before. Its domain now is RiveScript.com (my old domain AiChaos.com expired long ago, and of all my domains that I've let expire it's the only one that the ad companies won't let go of so there's not much I can do about that).

Thats pretty cool.

Im now a lead web developer for the top web company in my region.

I grew up and developed skills mainly in PHP, still havent been to Uni
and only 19 years old..

I guess I am the baby of this scene..

Yeah, I finished full integration with MSNP15 last night and Im currently working on getting Morphious itself built.

Hopefully dont run into anymore MSNP errors but its pretty much guarenteed at the moment.

Im taking my time on this one as I want to make it perfect unlike a few of my pre releases.

Currently doing the Configuration of it.. at work at the moment so just touching it here and there when I have time.

Actually for a while I was pretty good friends with the noob that developed Destructive Child.

He finally admits his bot wasnt very good.

Yeah nice to have no one pulling all the contacts away.

I just hope this place gets busy again, was nice.

I think I am going to turn Morphious into a forum again, but Im thinking about coding something extra into the MSN.pm so we can track all the bots and give people a full list of them all?

I thought that might be nice, obviously able to disable it but enabled by default.

I made a project on google code, I just rewrote msn.pm MSNP8 to suit my own needs and then released it. I found out some parts of MSNP are not protocol specific, so I am busy putting the newer stuff into P8 that can be supported. I wanted to make some sort of super bot that could run on lots of protocols but as with everyone else, I have very little spare time these days. I have got into GPS and vehicle tracking so I have some projects going on in that domain with the potential to make me some money. Needless to say, they take priority.

Are you going to release your P15 code? I got stuck at that protocol because they made some big changes to the auth and I couldnt figure out part of the process. MSNPiki has been pretty dead these days and most of it is locked because people were sabotaging it and wikibots were editing it all and replacing with adverts.

Oh and since everyone else is talking about their lives - im a junior programmer at a company making games for mobile phones. Im only there for a few more weeks though and then my final year of univeristy.
I dont get much time to do any perl these days so I am pretty rusty. I had to ask some quite basic questions here when I first got back into it, and I am sorry to say I have fallen behind again. Hopefully once I go back to uni I will find some time to pick things up.

The authentication is easy really..

Its all going through SOAP instead of directly through the server.. this is exacally the same for your contact list and block list. You now edit that using SOAP calls and retrieve it using SOAP.

You also have to tell MSN who is actually allowed and not allowed and what list there on when you connect.. it doesnt tell you so it seem that its not synced with any contact server.

Basically you can edit your lists without actually fully logging in, aslong as you get a token for the contacts.msn.com. Anyway its pretty easy to figure out if you read of the MSNP15 documentation provided around the various sites.

I will also be adding P2P real file transfer mainly for personal reasons.

If you want to view the new morphious its bot@morphious.co.uk although theres nothing on it really yet.

Im just having a few problems with the file transfer SLP calls.. it seems im sending everything fine I just dont think im sending the Context correctly.. And all the documentation that was around for this has disappeared.

Since bot2k3 and all of its files were taken down..

Anyway, I would like to add all of you onto msn if thats possible?

Could you send me a PM at all with your emails.

Edit: Alot of the time you have to use other code such as C# or PHP bots.

Yeah the SOAP stuff is not a problem, thats been used since P13 I think, its computing the return ticket token that I get lost on. Never mind, ive got plenty to keep me busy for a while anyways, and if youve already done it then no point reinventing the wheel.

Ive added you now.

I have complete File Transfer (sorry ive been doing alot of stuff lately, only had chance to work on it for a while today)

So its working pretty good now anyway, you can send more than 1 file lol.

Although I have a problem where im trying to make it send a file to everyone in the convo (using a call to open a new convo, cba to do UUX stuff at the moment) and send the file after the convo is open, with a message.

Msn seems to keep it open as if its waiting for a reply from us but without us recieving anything back except the acknowledgement.

But the file seems to send and the person recieves it, just it doesnt say complete..

the MSN.PM is being tested as we speak so i can imagine as soon as that is done then the beta version of morphious will be released, but maybe stephen could verify this for us Smile
