Hey,
So here it is. My Uber bot! Of course it is probably cooler to me than you, but thats okay! This bot uses a bit different strategy than any of my previous ones. The entire bot is controlled by an XML config file that defines what protocols to connect to and how to respond to user messages. Everything is handled by layers of programming/modules that I call filters. Each filter can perform a task, i've included many filters as examples. I haven't gotten the filters documented well but i hope to document them better and post some here. One of the included filters lets you include commands into the bot, that filter and many example commands are included. It will probably be easiest to just answer questions, so the short directions are:
- Open config.xml
- Edit the top section to include as many bots as you would like including the correct protocol, username and password as well as a unique name.
- Edit the commands filter to include your names as the admin. The format is protocol:username so my msn name is MSN:eric256@rocketmail.com
- start the bot and enjoy!

Thanks!
I'm going to post an example of how to build a Filter later tonight (4+hours from now) so if you have ideas post them here. Otherwise I will probably do something dorky like Uppercase all output, replace words with synonyms, slangify, elitify or something else. I wonder if there is an easy way to convert text to pig latin...hmmmm. _________________ Eric256
