Hej,

A few days ago i haven't had this problem, now, when i start a bot (white warrior, nexgenbot, mayabot or whatever...), i get the following error:

Quote:
Connecting to messenger.hotmail.com:1863 as school@acrb.nl/******
SERVER ERROR : Connection error: Unknown error

I have try to disable my firewall, but with no result. I also have opened the 1863 port on my router:

Quote:
Temp 10.0.0.15:1863 unspecified:1863 tcp
Temp 10.0.0.15:1863 unspecified:1863 udp

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks a lot,

Jeppe Bijker

You may want to check with your ISP and see if they are blocking ports. There is a certain DSL provider that blocks quite a few, including any SMTP that isn't going to their mail server. Shocked If you call your ISP's support and ask all your ports to be unblocked, it will fix the problem (if that is the cause.)

Thanks for your quick answer,

i checked the site of my isp and they are blocking the following ports:

135, 137, 138, 139, 445 (Microsofts file and printersharing (says my isp...)) and 25 (SMTP)

That's not a problem, is it?

ehm... i'm don't know much about perl, normally i work with php and only the scripting, not the server.

Can you explain a bit more? What is Cript-SSLeay and where can i find it? And what is PPM? I think it's not "parts per million" as google says...

Using Windows with ActivePerl:

Start -> run -> type "ppm"

Type:

install Crypt-SSLeay

..wait!

When it's done and the "ppm> " thing comes back, type "exit". It should now be installed!

To my knowledge it asks you some questions so you may not want to do to much waiting and answer them first.

When i try that, i get the following error:

Quote:
Error: No valid repositories: Error: 500 Can't connect to
ppm.ActiveState.com:80 (Bad protocol 'tcp')

I've looked this error up, but i haven't find a solution yet...
