I dunno wether this is even the right forum, but i hope it is
Ok i have a bot thats wrote in mIRC script (this works fine) i use a IRC > MSN gateway
its a info bot for a mmorpg, and its designed to message everyone who signed up when the event is starting.
but i keep on getting the error that im "changeing to fast" is there a limit to how many people you can message in a certain amount of time? if so, what is it? thanks for your help
Btw i dunno if this helps but the error the gateway returns is:
MSN - Error: MSN: Error reported by MSN server: Changing too rapidly |

I've never seen that error before - but I recommend putting in some micro-sleeps or something, just to slow it down. _________________ ~ Josh

Hey,
I don't think this could have anything to do with perl. Just FYI. Since it is an MSN error messages you are getting then i'm sure it has something to do with the rate at which you are sending messages.
Could you give us a sample of your message sending and what kind of wait time before messages you are using? Maybe it's not waiting where it needs to be, but then i've never seen MSN complain like that at all. _________________ Eric256
