I expect someone has already written a command that searches for game cheats, but after a quite a bit of searching i couldn't find one.

If not, what would i need to do for such a command?

First you need to find a site you're going to use (i.e. GameFAQs.com).

Find out the URL to their search thing ("http://www.gamefaqs.com/search/index.html?game=zelda+ocarina+of+time")

View the source and look for any patterns in the HTML code (your ultimate goal is to be able to parse the source and get a list of results).

Turn it into a command.

Sometimes people ask me "Whats a good cheat site?" and I direct them to Google.

Therefore, your "theory" shall we call it is wrong, because some people dont (know how to Google) >.<
