Lots of other bot sites (or at least RunABot.com) have forums where you post funny conversations that your bots have with people.
We could have a conversations forum where we post our bot's conversations, but of course making them anonymous (replacing users' names with "user:" for example).
For example:

The rules of this forum would be something like this: • Must anonymize conversations (replace usernames with "user") • One thread is allowed for a single bot. Replies in each thread should only be about conversations with that bot. All nonrelated replies to a thread will be deleted. • If more than one thread exists for a single bot, the new one will be deleted.
So that way each of us can make a thread for our bot's conversations, anybody that replies in the thread with something other than conversations (maybe reply with "haha that's clever"), those posts will be deleted... so the entire thread would only have posts containing bot conversations.
Good idea or no?
Also this forum wouldn't count for posts, otherwise people would totally abuse it. But it's always a fun thing to read other bot's conversations, to get ideas for triggers you can add to your own bot. _________________ Current Site (2008) http://www.cuvou.com/
I definitely like the idea, but I don't know if it really fits the forum concept. For instance, your proposed restrictions include having one thread and deleting comments on conversations.
It sounds more like we need a place to post conversations and that's it.
Incidentally, Cer, you had a good idea a few months ago about creating a place where we could list statements/questions that a chat bot should be able to answer. I lked that idea, but we never took it further. It strikes be that we might want to post conversations and user statement/question lists in the same area/site.
