henry_nyc Newbie Joined: 23 Mar 2005 Posts: 19	Posted: Wed Mar 23, 2005 8:49 pm    Post subject: Hi all- this seems like a great site but I haven't been able to figure out what I need- I want to allow a process to send out 'alerts' to people via IM (AOL primarily, but I'd like multiplatform availability). GAIM seems to support plugins that might work- or would I be better off creating a bot that I can pass parameters to?? any help greatly appreciated!

If having something that works with other platforms is worth the extra work to you, its just a matter of knowing the right programming language(s) and depends on which platforms you want.
