I read about this 4 question intelligence test a few months ago. It may be a kid's game, but I'd never heard of it. Anyway, the questions require basic logic, memory and other skills. This is for humans to take, but if you can get an AI to answer them (without hardcoding the answers using AIML or some other canned response system), then you just might have a real AI!

There are 4 questions that need to be read one at a time in order, so don't skip ahead. The answers are given because they are clues to help you with the next question. Remember, these are sort of childish questions, something 8 year olds would ask, but they are still challenging for adults.

QUESTION 1:

How do you put a giraffe in the refrigerator?

ANSWER 1:

You open the door, put the giraffe inside and close the door.

QUESTION 2:

How do you put an elephant in the refrigerator?

ANSWER 2:

You open the door, take out the giraffe, put the elephant in and close the door.

QUESTION 3:

The lion, king of the animals, holds an animal convention. All animals attend, except one. Which animal doesn't attend?

ANSWER 3:

The elephant couldn't attend because he is in the refrigerator.

QUESTION 4:

There is a river you must cross. There is no bridge or boat and the river is known to be infested with dangerous crocodiles. How do you get across?

ANSWER 4:

You can swim across safely because all the crocodiles are at the animal convention.

I might have a crack at this... mind you, it'll be a command line app cos I can't be bothered with Modules.

Ugh! This was never meant to be something people should try to code. If you can code an AI to answer these questions, you'll be famous, because people much smarter than all of us have been working on these problems for decades. Good luck! Razz

I'm going to close this topic.

And I'm glad you can't be bothered with modules because modules can't be bothered with you either.

/me wonders what one has to do with the other.

Command line app just means you run it at the command line, it has nothing to do with how the programmer is written.

BTW Nice post Mojave. Sad part is even by the fourth one i still failed. Wink
