I'm sorry if I insulted you.

The point of services is so that you don't have to worry about the content. All you have to worry about is sending data to the service and replying what data is sent back. The content is controlled by the service creator. As with any command or service that gets data from a database or parses a web page, you are reliant from that data. Getting data from a web site and a simple bot service holds almost the same risk, in my opinion. I know that these services I have posted are very simple, but they are just meant to be examples. I'm sure some people could find use for them though. I'm not posting here for anyone's approval. I'm post here as an example of what can be done and hopefully to encourage others to create some cool services.

Thanks for the kudos on the yoda service.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the idea. I just want to see some originality in it. I'm considering doing a few services myself possibly too, so don't take what I'm saying the wrong way.

And yes, there are modules that wrap all the XML stuff up, so that someone who uses Botwork services doesn't have to know XML, instead they just use a simple module and API.

So, for now, I'm going to revive XML services and make it easy to add both simple and XML services to Botwork. Note that Botwork is a protocol, but also would act as a registry for services, sort of like a search engine for services. But importantly, anybody can create and run their own registry. There doesn't have to be one central service registry at Botwork.

Sounds good to me. XML based information is the latest cutting edge on it's way to a standard anyway. I like those ideas.
