| The forums have been largely reorganized and renamed. Some existing forums have no place in the new layout and some forums overlapped with the new, so the exact forum layout we have recently been discussing is not completely implemented here... yet. |

That's cool.
One suggestion to make though:
What is the point of the "Bots" forum, to upload templates to? Surely everyone will just promote it in "promote a template". I suggest that you make only Moderators allowed to post in "Promote a Template", and then get the moderators to post the most successful templates in that forum. At the moment, you have two forums when only one is needed. _________________ ~ Josh

| That's an old placeholder forum. Don't know what to do with it yet. |

how about re-naming it "Promote a Template", and then make the current "Promote a template" into "Popular Templates" or "Approved Templates" or something? _________________ ~ Josh

You could make an Archive's Forum and stuff the old forums that don't fit in there as sub forums. Then lock them all so no new posts can be made and your set. _________________ Eric256

But the reason for the "promote a template" forum being created was so that new bot developers could find somewhere to get their templates [the ones which weren't ripped]. I still think that you should have a seperate forum which is moderated [mods posting/copying/moving only] so that ripped crap doesn't get in, and so that only the latest version is there [with other versions being moved back to the origional forum in which they were posted [which would be the 'Bots' forum]. _________________ ~ Josh

I personally don't like the "Promote a..." except for bots/websites in the Bot-Depot forum. Promote means advertise, but in the Bot Development forums, we want to have code that is available for download, so new developers can get started quickly. Advertising will result in posts like "this bot rocks, this template is better than that template".
As for the problem of "ripping", we're only going to pin the templates that are well-known and distinct. And I believe only moderators can pin. |

| It would be cool, if you could upgrade to IPB 2, as it has a nice skin/style. |
