Yeah... besides coding your bot to look for key phrases that bots typically will say, there is no other good way of making a bot know it's talking to a bot. For example, if somebody made a bot that's JUST for chat or is to be as realistic as possible and have minimum commands, your bot would never know.
And you can't block names that have "bot" in them because some people have e-mails like... "botmaster@somesite.ws" or "admin@botwork.com" for examples. It would work on names like "bot_of_oblivion@hotmail.com" but there's really no way of telling for sure.
I guess another way is to program your bot to monitor the typing rate of the other bot. If they have a consistent amount of time between replies for, say, 15 to 20 replies, your bot can safely assume it's talking to a bot. _________________ Current Site (2008) http://www.cuvou.com/
Yeah, cer, I think you're on the right track there... There are definitely patterns that are human, and patterns that are bottish... That would be one of them.
