Ok ive been out of the bot scene for a while and now im about to start work on a new project. When I run echobot I get 'No response from server' which I think used to mean that you didnt have the SSL updates. Tried installing them from the usual site (http://theoryx5.uwinnipeg.ca/ppms/x86/Crypt-SSLeay.tar.gz) but vista wont install them via ppm, so I manually got the file but I dont know the correct directories for the files to go in. I had a go but aparently they were wrong as I get the same error. Anyone got any advice for doing this on vista?

Yeah the problem wasnt what I thought it was. It was because I was using a different version of ActivePerl (the newest). Changed it for the version prior to that and no problems at all
