I'm back, now some of you.... well lets be honest all of you, are thinking "back from where? Who are you?" and you might be right to think that, I was one of those annoying noob's who kept begging Cer to do all my work for me, but times they are a changing.... according to Bob Dillon, I am back and I have a question,
Where the hell is everybody?
I remember when we would have like 20/30 people online at once.... now it's just me and Zander..... What happened people? Did Eric start insulting people's mums? I warned him about that...
Anyways just to say hi, n hope this place picks up or we are going to need a medium to post messages....
I for one am still around, browsing more than posting. I think mainly the forum has got slower because interest in Perl bots etc has died down - developers are more interested in using the VB.net SDK etc to interact with MSN Messenger with the new features for games etc. _________________ ~ Josh

I'm still around, although I've mostly lost interest in programming bots. I spend more time at another Perl forum and working on more ambitious projects.
So I just check in here several times a day to look for any posts that I can answer to, but most of the time there's nothing new going on. _________________ Current Site (2008) http://www.cuvou.com/

Hey guys, good to hear from you again. hey cer i was on Aichaos the other day... well like 3 months ago, was looking for Jugganaught 4 Bot-Depot was being gay(no offence).
DM, long time no chat last time we spoke i think i was begging you for help with my acorn template.
yer i think i agree, perl bots are dying. i think with things like Plus! Live Scripting and the numerous SDK's it is just easier to use those. but then i like the beauty in perl ugliness, lol.
So how have things changed? Does the latest msn.pm support winks/nudges/DDP's/Offline Messaging/Yahoo Intergration? i have some cool idea's would love to start playing again, that’s why I came back, but can perl handle the advances WLM/Msn has made?

Ok cool, if it can do offline messaging that would be very good. i am torn do i build a bot in perl, or one in vb that can use the activities SDK, i mean who cool would it be if your bots could chess with people, lol.

Hey I remember you
I think someone was working on a P14 or P13 msn.pm, but that was a little while ago and I dont think it ever came to be.
Welcome back to bot depot, anyway
That probably was me, but i haven't worked on it anymore after my harddisk died.
I think i'll get it from my backup disk today and work on it some more.
Things improved are:
fixed the empty event warning(fixed, NOT just removing the warning)
Added MSNFTP file sending
Added voice clip sending
Added Personal Messages
Probably some other things i forgot about...
Contact lists aren't finished but most of it is already working.
The SOAP and XML is really annoying and confusing...

For those of you still coming around, are there different forums you'd like to see here? It's Bot Depot after all (not "Perl Bot Depot") so let me know how I can make it a better place for you.
Maybe you could let us post about any and all bots. I have some that I wouldnt mind sharing and improving with people, but they wouldnt really fit into any categories here. For example a bot that talks in a CBox, or converses via posts on an invisionfree forum.

Nice to meet you too! Here's the thing - while I excel at phpBB, Internet Marketing, SEO, etc I am at best a hack, and not a coder. I promise all of you that if you tell me what categories/forums you want I will work my a$$ off to provide you with what you need. Only problem is I don't inherently know what those things are, so I need you guys to tell me please. (I know that this goes against what most people want in a forum - they want to come to a board where the host knows what they want and does a good job providing it.)
Personally i'd just like to see thsi turned into a regular discussion forum about bots and AI in general and not so much on the coding side (Although code could still be published etc)

I will ask a few of the mods for assistance - of course anyone else who can offer up help will be greatly appreciated as well.
