How to release connections?

When using call, a new connection(is that switchboard) is created
but when it's unused, how can i free the connection?

I'll assume you're not using Perl, because all this MSN connection stuff has been done in Perl and you wouldn't want to reinvent the wheel.

So what language are you doing it in? VB? C++? Java? If we know that we could give actual code samples for generally how to handle connections.
