Hey all,

After months of laziness, I have finally made a new version of White Warrior.

White Warrior 2.0 Lite uses object orientated and modular programming, allowing a more plugin-based Bot.

Built to run on AIM, MSN, and IRC simultaneously, but also any other medium or platform needed, White Warrior is truly dynamic (and much better coded than the first version :p). As soon as the Yahoo module is released, it can instantly be added to the Bot by simply running a configuration file – no system files need to be edited.

As this is a Lite version, many features from 1.0 are gone, which is why this is a Lite version. In the full version of 2.0, these features, along with many more, will return. I'm hoping to include GROWL features, pending Mojave's web interface he's thinking about building.

The bot also introduces language files, which allow users from all across the world to use it. With the release, files for English, Dutch, French, Romanian and Klingon (yes, that Klingon) are included. I’m looking for more languages though – please read the Readme file which is in the Zip to find out how to help Smile.

To run it, double click on bot.bat. You will need to have Perl installed. This bot is not necessarily designed for “newbies”, although all modules should be included, and it should all be self-explanatory.

Download White Warrior 2.0 Lite

View Hitcount & cool image! (dynamic images are turned off =\)

Please report any bugs in the official forum, or here.

Compilation failed in require at .\Bot.pl line 38

Yea, sorry, I've just realised that I included a bad copy. Redownload it and it should work, or just delete the file "./System/Data/Dumper.pm".

Sorry, redownload, again.

The problem was that, trying to make it newb-friendly, I included ALL modules it used - including ones that need to be PPM installed. This problem should now have gone, as I removed them.

If you get an error such as "Can't find XX/Meh.pm at @INC", you need to install this module. Google or search this forum for info on how to.

Maybe as part of the help file and installation information, you should include a list of the modules that need to be PPM'd and those that are included with the template. I looked at the readme file but didn't see anything about external modules that are needed. Just a suggestion...

Yea, that's a good idea. I didn't include any of that as I thought that I included all the modules ever needed.

Meh, I'm a newb at this releasing-stuff - I can code it fine - just patching it up for a bugless release is a pain in the ass.

It would be extremely helpful if you actually SHOWED the error instead of just complaining about them.
