Does Net::YahooMessenger even work? Last time I checked it was using the old protocol. _________________ Current Site (2008) http://www.cuvou.com/ |

| if you were able to change the auth to ymsg12 then you should have no problem adding these things to the module. Please show us your version of the auth, and maybe we can help with the rest. |

| These forums are about helping each other develop and discuss bots, IM protocols, etc. We like to share in open source projects, such as the development of Net::MSN. freakk, if you have a working version of Net::Yahoo, you should contribute to the community. Also, let's see a bot of yours running on Yahoo - I'm very interested in it. |

If you're open source, that's always possible to happen. Many of my bot codes have been stolen too. The only thing is: those who steal code usually don't know the code well enough to A) expand from it, or B) fix it if something goes wrong. So they're really just making it more difficult for themselves.
And I know some people are going to reply about Net::YIM so: I'm not so much being a hipocrate here, I know I know nothing about Yahoo protocols. Just that C0 80 is their command separator cuz that's true for all their protocols. So yes I've been on both sides of the debate. _________________ Current Site (2008) http://www.cuvou.com/ |

I talked to irengrrl and it sure didn't seem like a bot to me. It said hi, I'm alive and bye, then stopped communicating and wouldn't even respond to my "hi" like it did the first time. My guess is that it was really a human who had been found out.
Give us a Yahoo bot that is actually a bot. |
