I recently installed Perl and an Andromedia bot and here is what happened in msdos

Quote:
cd\andromeda
c:\andromeda> perl andromeda.pl
'perl' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or  batch file.

I figure the 'perl' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file is the error - can anybody help me?

You can use a full path name to the perl executable. CD into the Andromeda folder (or wherever you have andromeda.pl) and type the following:

Code:
C:\perl\bin\perl andromeda.pl

you could try going into
control panel>System>Advanced>Environment Variables
then under system variables try adding C:/perl/bin; (or the location to your perl bin) into the path variables

if it cant find your path to perl, might of forgot to keep the check box checked that said add perl to environment variables or whatever it says

Or just reboot. You might have said no when it asked to setup your environment variables. Which i think someone mentioned. Easiest may just be to run the install agian and let it do everything it wants to do.
