Hi all- here's a weird one- have had great success getting a modified CKSbot up and running on AIM. 40hours uptime but then, twice now, the bot has gotten kicked out and the password has stopped working. Following the 'forgot my pwd' links results in an email with a totally different pwd, and I know I didn't ask for it to be reset--- anyone have any ideas?

That's happened to me on a number of occasions. I think it has soemthing to do with exceeding the message limit.

Maybe somebody found out your bot's password and is changing it on you. AIM's forgotten password recovery only e-mails you with your current password, it doesn't change it for you, so probably somebody else is changing it.

Unless there's some sort of security hole in CKSbot (doubt it), I am quite sure no one could have the password- it actually happened twice now, on two different logins, and after the bot had been up for a few days and I had counted 20,000+ messages sent (over the entire period, never hitting ratelimit, avg one mssg every 8 seconds). If anyone else notices this happen, please contact me! thanks

it happened to two of my screennames as well... If its not the ratelimit, then perhaps it is connecting/disconnecting too frequently?
