Is my computer being weird? The first time I checked his new site, it didn't have an index page... and now his new site looks exactly the same as the old one.

Very Nice! 100% Version 2

A idea would be take the copyright out of the image and put it as text, It stands out too much and thats not what your visitors are there too see (at least, I hope not! Laughing )

I don't see why there would be coding problems just because you used Dreamweaver. It outputs valid HTML 4.0 by default, and you can change it for others.

It is nicely placed there and blends in well with the design. There is nothing wrong with it.

Version 2 is great! Though, a nice image as the background other than the colour may look better... But keep the download times down Razz

I like the old one better: wider content space. That's always a plus.

Thats because its a nice , clean, appealing design. It's easy to read, easy to navigate, and is easy on the eyes. It has a professional look and follows some standard design rules. Plus since you did it in Dreamweaver the code would probably validate well too. You should give that a whirl. Head to the HTML Validator at w3.org. I think you've done a good job. It loaded fine on a broadband connection here. If you start taking everyone's suggestions it's going to look like hell lol

Nice site! the top link didn't work for me (404) the copyright bar looks ok to me, one thing though don't put an ad, it would spoil your nice layout.

Well I can't judge since the one is missing. But even though this is just about design, For me, it's all about the content. It can be the ugliest thing I've ever seen but as long as you can find what you are looking for and it works, if the content is good I'd visit. Or it could be the best looking website I've ever seen but offers nothing (like now Razz) I'd leave and not come back.
