Most bots these days are really crappy and are never online. Ever Since i seen Marz bot .. Aim/irc/msn etc, i have been influenced to create a bot that will be online 24/7. I have recently learnt php and recently purchased a reliable webhosting server. I have now uploaded and created my bot and it has been online for over 2 weeks without failure. Im not going to lie, it doesnt have many features, it basically repeats stuff you say... performs google searches, can download lyrics off the internet, can give*lazy*bot statistics etc... etc... ill add more features tomorrow or the next day.. feel free to add it to msn:

Put it on The Bot List, which will track your bot's uptime. Very Happy

Just to clarify...Marznet currently only uses AIM, but I really appreciate the compliment! Wink

I have your bot on my contact list, but have not seen it online in the last 2 weeks. Do you have me blocked? Why not add the bot to the Bot List so we can verify this uptime?

I run the Bot List, I like promoting bots, I'm not a person who would abuse your bot. Razz

I do know that older MSN code didn't properly handle adding contacts. Maybe when I added your bot it didn't add me to its allow list properly, which would make it not show up on the contact list. I'm going to remove and add it again. What version of MSN.pm are you using now? What did you use before?

Yeah, I just removed it from my list and added it again. It still shows as offline. I bet you have an old version of MSN. You should upgrade to MSN 2.0. It fixes the list problems from 1.X versions. So I'm sure that will help you. You can see your bot and maybe a couple of your friends, but nobody else can. Sad

Pay attention mojave, the guy is running Blobsy PHP. He doesn't require any perl libraries, and no updates either. I do am intrested in the version nr of the Blobsy bot you are running right now. Since i know 1.0 and 1.5 versions have had their problems with the bot being added while it was offline. It would only allow contacts that add it while it is online.

If this is the case, i suggest updating to the lastest Blobsy 2.0 source ASAP. Much more possibilities, easier to add commands to it and generally more stabile and less resourcefull.

I'm with brother, Blobsy 1.5 is nothing in comparison to 2.0. Easier to code, maybe, but it's worth the upgrade Wink

Although, 1.5 has commands which n00blets or people new to Blobsy can use, and learn from. 2.0 has nothing.
