you dont put them in perlwhat i done: extractfiles to c:\bot renamed andromeda to bot go start run type in cmd them enter type cd\ enter cd bot enter perl bot.pl enter
 sorry eric if you against the renaming on andromeda, but i find it alot easier to using ,because i cant spell andromeda |

i extracted everything and the only thing i moved from thee exacted folder was i made a short cut bot.pl and move it into c:\perl\bin so when i went to start>>run>> cmd i typed
| Code: | | cd\<br />cd\perl\bin<br />\perl bot.pl <br /> |
actually i renamed the bot.pl to bot1.pl |

Not very useful to me as I need an AIM bot, but I decided to give it a go.
Not having tried an MSN bot before, it was rather hard to get working...
Things went like this:
1) Download and run Andromeda 2.5 get an error, can't find handler.pm
2) Download XML files, install to /lib/XML in Andromeda folder.
3) Look through threads, find MSN.pm 1.4 Alpha in MSN section, Start up ppm and install IO-Socket-SSL
4) Download MSN.pm 1.3.3 and MSN.pm 1.3.4 from the Protocols section, install those to /lib in Andromeda folder.
5) Andromeda now starts up.
Now I need to figure out how to move it it AIM. ^^; |

| I dont think you can make it to Aim bot.. Im really not sure, but ask tony_shu because he's making a bot for Aim?, Also how would you upload a bot to aim, would you use the perl steps like cd\ cd perl cd bin perl bot.pl and need a protocol for aim? |

Now that requests for AIM are cropping up agian i plan on either makeing andromeda work on both MSN and AIM or makeing a brother of Andromeda that can do AIM instead. I will keep you all posted of advances in either direction. _________________ Eric256

you could have skipped that, if you want something that is going to work make sure to get the latest from the protocols section, which is 1.3.4 i think |

Nice to know that step 3 wasn't needed... But I'm some what new to this so I went with what I could find as I found it.
I did install 1.3.4 but that thread only has MSN.pm in it. So you also need to install 1.3.3 first or you won't get handler.pm and a few other files. That Andromeda would complain are misssing otherwise. |
