Hi,

Blame Vorx for this! It is all his fault, he tried to help me!...lol, j/k Smile .

Ok...I have used some code to create a chatroom in my bot (and yes, it works).
My only problem is, that when people come in the chatroom and talk, the bot still replys to stuff I say, and to what other people say, and it gets very annoying. Vorx tried to help me out, and told me to go to on_im.pl and change at the bottom this part...
Code:
$self->sendmsg("$reply");
... to this part...
Code:
$self->sendmsg("$reply") unless ($reply eq "");
...but it did not work for me, but it did him.

Mainly, all I want to do is, make the bot not respond to anything in the 'chat'...
anyone know how to do this?lol

Thanks! Smile

Use the '!silence' command and add it to the chat output (just a thought)

well then you edit it and put in your chatmodule:

Quote:
$silence = 1;

you could change this to

Code:
$self->sendmsg("$reply") unless ($reply eq "" || $self eq $chat);

and please stop quoting whole posts for no reason

Keenie,

That code that you just gave me, would it go under sub Answer in bot.pl? Or would it go somewhere else?

Thanks! Smile

it would go anywhere it sends replys to the users.

so in the answer sub if you want, or maybe on_im at the bottom

basically anywhere

$self->sendmsg(..); is you could replace with that and it wont send a reply if $reply is blank or its the chat room, well shouldnt at least
