i need more j-mods and mods for lolbot add it at lol874@hotmail.com and check it out i have new commands every day to talk to me on my bot just type !chat then !chat yes thanks Very Happy

You.. ever notice that "Edit" button on your posts?

It stays there for 24 hours. You don't need to post twice (especially only over a span of a whole 2 minutes. Razz )

What is a j-mod? And why does everyone need j-mods and mods, etc.? And why does everyone have 10 times as many mod commands as they do normal user commands?

I have ZERO mods for all of my bots, ZERO mod commands. Never had any, don't see a need.

So can someone tell me what all the hullaballoo about mods and mod commands is? Am I missing something? Enlighten me please!

P.S. I actually know the answer, but I'm curious what other people think. Razz

well heres what i think mods take care of chat and warn people and keep the people who make trouble out and the good people in Very Happy

nm...figured it out...

EDITED: I tried using your bot...& got nowhere.

When I say "!menu", it lists the menu, but I can't see any of the subcategories.

If I try to chat, it says my window is the 6th open chat but there's no one there.

i know what you mean, i dunno why anyone has mods, i don't even know why i have got mods Razz i might get rid of em and just have 1 Admin and a few Developers

Edit:
PhonduBot version 2.3 Coming March 1st 2004
- NO Tmods
- NO Mods
- NO Smods
- all Smod commands passed onto Developers
- Admins Reset - Just me as Admin (all others moved down to Developer)

Well my reason for multiple permission levels is to keep certain commands to only be used by the more responsible users.

For example, my Moderator category only has commands that block, warn, etc. and they have a command that gets information about another user. With that simplicity, I can promote just about anybody to Moderator.

And then if they're a good Mod, I promote them to Super Mod where they now have access to the MSN alert command. Since that command could be easily abused, the Mod has to prove they're a good responsible Mod to use it.
